What utilities and other amenities are included in the rent?
Your monthly rent includes expanded-basic cable TV, high-speed cable Internet, electricity, heat, air-conditioning, water, sewer, trash, lawn care, and snow removal. The only exception is our Mt. Nittany building, where tenants are responsible for their own electric bills (general electric, air conditioning, and hot water).
Are high-speed Internet and cable TV service included? How about wireless Internet?
Yes, D&E Communications? high-speed cable Internet and expanded-basic cable TV are included in your monthly rent, with access in all living rooms and bedrooms. Wireless service is not included. Tenants are responsible for any upgrades to cable TV and Internet.
How far are the buildings from campus?
College Park is just one block from the southwest side of campus and the free campus bus loop at the corner of West College Avenue and South Atherton Street (across from Kinko's and Arby's). Allen Park, Lenwood Place, and Mt. Nittany are eight to nine blocks south of campus, close to where South Allen and Pugh streets intersect with Westerly/Easterly Parkway. Walking to campus takes about 10 minutes.
Are your buildings close to CATA bus stops?
Yes, all Lenwood Apartments are within one block of a CATA bus stop. Free Blue Loop buses stop across the street from College Park. The P-Medical Center bus stops on Pugh Street across from Mt. Nittany Apartments and one block east of Allen Park and Lenwood Place. The R-Waupelani bus stops one block east of Allen Park and Lenwood Place. Bus passes are not included in rent. Where can I park my car?
You can reserve your own on-site parking space for an additional fee. Parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with a 12-month lease from August to August. For current parking rates, contact our office at (814) 238-1598 or lenwoodapts@gmail.com.
Can I get a furnished apartment?
Yes, we offer both furnished and unfurnished apartments. Basic furnishings (including twin beds) are provided at no additional charge.
Do you have on-site washers and dryers?
Yes. Each building has a coin-operated laundry room on the bottom level.
How long are leases?
All leases are for 12 months. You do have the option of subletting your apartment for part of that time; contact our office for details.
What are the application fee and security deposit? Do I need a co-signer?
If you decide to lease an apartment, each applicant pays a $30 application fee. The security deposit is equal in price to one month's rent. If you are not employed full-time, you will need a co-signer. If you are employed full-time, you will need to provide proof of employment and pay a $20 credit report fee.
Can I have a dog or cat?
Pets are not permitted at any of our properties.
